Julie – just got back and thought the reading was excellent. I was hoping to hang around a bit afterwards to talk but I had to duck out as my back was killing me…

I did want to ask one question though – is “The Hard Way” designed to be read ’straight through’ as a typical novel; or can it be read story for story, ie out of order? I hate asking questions in a group setting so I waited until now for that one.

Matt, you’re awesome! Thanks for coming to the reading.

The Hard Way is designed to be read straight through because mostly it’s in chronological order. But, each story could be read independently and make sense on its own…I think.

I was right there with you Matt! Except it was my brain that was killing me. I was having a really hard time keeping it together during that New Age woman’s and the creepy guy with the spray painted hair’s baloney. Thankfully, when it was Julie’s turn, she made up for it by being witty, poised, and cute. Nice job, J!

You don’t know the half of it. I was literally praying the entire time that my mom wouldn’t ask them any questions or say anything since she is wholeheartedly against that type of “stuff.” But I guess she could read my mind and kept her mouth shut. I mean I can sort of appreciate what they’re saying but I’m not really sold on it the way they presented it. I certainly don’t want to be labeled a religious fanatic but think there’s a singular higher power; rather than a “group of spirits” or whatnot.

Anyway all that aside, I agree with Mike’s assertation regarding your presentation. Be sure to keep me posted on the status of your next book too.

Hey Jule, glad i could make the 2hour trip to see my little sister. The opening act was a little different but it was great when the moderater told them to “speed it up, because everone there came to see the other author” Priceless.
You are always so entertaining, and i lpve you.
Thanks for being a big part of my perfect day, Julie and going to watch the Phils win at 2am

Well, I really appreciate you guys being there even if the new age act was more than you bargained for. But it’s good to have new experiences … to hear from people you wouldn’t usually come in contact with, right? Now you know about spiritual walk-ins. How many people can say that?

  12. October 27, 2008 at 11:15 am

I wish I couldn’t. I think my spirit walked out during that nonsense, and the only reason it came back was because you came up next so, thanks for that.

The contract you made for this life was to be a skeptic and an atheist, probably. Boy will your face be red if you suddenly get the power to heal others with your touch or see spirits or hear voices from beyond.
