Here’s a news flash. Daniel Craig is a fugly dude. Go ahead and rave about his acting skills, his eyes, his portrayal of Ian’s character, or his physique. But recognize that your appreciation of this actor might be based on his skill as Bond.
He’s got:
- a pea head
- protruding ears
- thin upper lip
- appalingly ashy and uneven skin
- wispy, thin, thinning hair
- John-Boy-gone-bad appearance
- a creepy look in those eyes everyone seems to like so very much
Behold:

Pea head.

Protruding ears.

John-Boy-gone-bad appearance

Wispy, thin, thinning hair.

Appalingly ashy and uneven skin.

Thin upper lip.
Creepy look in eyes.
Next thing you know Crispin Glover will turn into a sex symbol after landing the role of the latest incarnation of Batman. McFly!

And what’s with the hairdo in that last photo? He looks like Eric Roberts wearing Crispin Glover’s wig from the CHARLIE’S ANGELS flicks.
So the boy has a face like a bag of smashed assholes, but below the neck he makes all males jealous; the scene of Bond striding out of the ocean in a bathing suit was the male analog to Ursula Andress pulling an Aphrodite in that bikini in DR. NO (1962). Trust me, the women in the audience were sliding off seats, and even some guys, yours truly among them, said, “Ya know, he’s pretty effin’ hot…” and until now my theoretical gay fascination belonged to Dean Cain. I’m so fickle.

It may be going back to my love of Troy Aikman, but the ears don’t bother me so much. I think you just like the slick, pretty boy James Bonds like Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan (Not that there’s anything wrong with Pierce). To me, Daniel Craig reminds me a whole lot of Sean Connery. There’s just something about him that’s soooooo hot.

I so love being vindicated.

Nope, sorry, you’re just wrong. It’s about being more than the sum of your parts (although I was with you on the coming-out-of-the-water beach scene. That was one poorly proportioned head), and while the parts of Daniel Craig certainly leave something to be desired, the whole is all that Bond should be.

I’m working on arranging a “screening.” Top shelf digital no less, so sit tight.
